Recently I joined A Hundred Crowns on their sold out concert at the hottest venue ive shot at all summer. The Angel Microbrewery played host to an incredible gig by the lads. I joined them for the day, covering all aspects from sound check all the way through to the gig itself (as well as a cheeky fish and chips next door).
There is so much more to what I do than just turn up to gigs take shots and get out of there, I love music which is why its my specialist area, the effort which goes in by each and every artist, I want to capture that and spend time learning the characteristics of the musicians, when the songs have important parts and what kind of lighting the venue has so I know from the very moment that drum is hit what to expect.
Working directly for A Hundred Crowns was great, in-fact working with all the musicians that I do is amazing, they’re all lovely people who are friendly, fun and hard-working. I cannot wait for the lads debut EP to come out in September and very much will be getting myself a copy of it!
